The Finnish Academy of Science and Letters, together with the Scientific Advice Mechanism to the European Commission, will host an informal working meeting of scholars and practitioners working on the philosophy of science advice.
- The study and practice of science advice has developed significantly in recent years, but its philosophical underpinnings are still somewhat under-examined. Robust philosophical scrutiny from a variety of normative and epistemic perspectives will help to ensure that the theoretical foundations of the discipline are robust.
In this context, our workshop aims to strengthen international networks of philosophers working in this topic, explore emerging topics, and provide a forum for friendly exchange.
