The SAPEA board
The SAPEA board consists of the presidents of each of SAPEA’s academy networks. These presidents together act as the central body for decisions on joint activities within SAPEA.
If a member of the board is unavailable, an alternate member designated by the network can act in their place.

Scientific policy officers are employed by our academy networks. Their main role is to manage SAPEA’s evidence review process.

Communications staff
The SAPEA communications team is based in Brussels and employed by ALLEA. Along with colleagues in the SAM secretariat, their role is to communicate about the work of the Scientific Advice Mechanism.

Coordination staff
The coordination team manages the SAPEA project. These staff are employed by acatech, the National Academy of Science and Engineering in Germany.
