What contribution can advanced materials bring to the European Union’s (EU) strategic autonomy? How can the cross-fertilisation of innovation in advanced materials be enhanced? In this talk, member of our Working Group on Advanced Materials Sabrina Sartori will discuss the findings of SAPEA Evidence Review Report, on how to strengthen Europe's position in advanced materials development and deployment. By focusing on advanced materials for mobility, energy, construction, electronics, health sectors this talk will highlight the identified research endeavors, needed EU ecosystem, and processes to foster breakthroughs from fundamental research to technological translation and with the highest potential impact on European industrial competitiveness.
